FYI: An invasive species, the Emerald Ash Borer, is here in Virginia and has been endangering and are killing Ash trees around the state. The beetle is greenish in color and adults are about half an inch long.

The larvae of the Emerald Ash Borer eat their way from inside the bark causing cavities in the tree and causing them to wilt and die. If you see your Ash tree (the Green, Black and White Ash are susceptible) start to lose its leafs, any change in leaf color or if you see any adult Borers it may be a sign that your Ash tree is in danger.
